It's a pity you didn't like Portugal. Especially Lisbon is the most beautiful and charming capital at least in Europe. Why didn't you find a cafe to have a cool drink??? Did you forget to put on your glasses??? There are so many nice cafes in Lisbon, everywhere you look. And there are so many nice little villages in Portugal. I think you shouldn't write about something you don't really know. Better stick to something else ....
Hi! My name is Nucha and I am a Portuguese citizen, from Lisbon. I started to read your impressions on my country and felt really sad when finding out that you would jump into conclusions about my town.
I know that Lisbon is not a perfect town, but you can't judge it by your two (2) hours' experience!! You can't imagine the diversity this beautiful town has to offer you. It is the town of the seven hills in perfect harmony with river Tejo. In this town you can go out and walk in the old neighborhoods of Alfama, Bairro Alto, Mouraria, among others, until 3 o'clock in the morning (or later) without any problem!
You will find out the tasteful Portuguese cuisine, you will discover different perspectives of the town which embraces the river, you will surely have fun in the very good Discos and Bars and, above all, you will discover friendly people and a Magical town, not like any other town! You will also have the opportunity to visit (during the day) some of the monuments which celebrate the great achievement of the Portuguese Discoverers.
I hope you read my message and answer me, now living in one horrible small town just like any other small town in the USA, and terribly missing my country and my Lisbon...
